LAT and LON Commands - Manual Coordinates

Allow manual configuration of the device’s GPS coordinates, useful for equipment in fixed locations.


What is it for?

  • 🏠 Fixed equipment — Home alarms, industrial sensors, monitoring equipment
  • 🚫 No GPS signal — Tunnels, mines, basements, underground installations
  • 🔋 Power saving — Avoid GPS module consumption when not necessary
  • 📍 Known position — Devices in permanent and predefined locations

Parameters

Latitude (SLAT)

Coordinates must be entered in decimal format, not in degrees/minutes/seconds. Example: -27.78089 instead of 27°46'51"S.

Manually configured coordinates are retained after device restart. If the equipment has active GPS, the manual position may be overwritten by the real position.
