Position Messages
Rinho devices send position reports and events to the server in different formats. This section documents the message structure and how to configure them.
Reports can be sent via GPRS, WiFi or SMS depending on device configuration and event engine rules.
Report Types
Basic position: GP, CY - For general tracking
→Position + additional data for complete telemetry
→Compact BP format for low data consumption
→Specific functions: iButton, temperature
→Alphanumeric messages for alerts
→Customizable format for custom integration
→Analog input and sensor data
→Report Generation
Reports are generated using the G Command:

|---|---|
| tt | Report type (GP, CY, BP, etc.) |
| nn | Trigger number (00-99) |
| p | Priority: H (high), M (medium), L (low) |
Example
>GGP00M<Generates a GP report with trigger 00 and Medium priority.
Most Used Reports
GP - General Position Report
>GGP00M<Contains: ID, date/time, position, speed, heading, status.
Response format:

Smaller data size while maintaining essential information.
BP - Binary Report
Maximum compression for limited data plans.
Priorities
| Priority | Code | Behavior |
|---|---|---|
| High | H | Immediate sending, continuous retry |
| Medium | M | Queue sending, moderate retry |
| Low | L | Store if no connection |
Use High priority (H) only for critical alerts. Excessive high priority reports can affect connection stability.
