Fundamentals
Before configuring the device, it’s important to understand what it is, how it works and what it can do.
What is a Rinho device?
A Rinho device is a smart GPS tracker that combines:
🛰️
GPS
Real-time location
📡
Cellular
GSM / LTE / SMS
🧠
Intelligence
Event engine
🔌
I/O
Inputs and outputs
💡
Unlike a common tracker, Rinho can make decisions autonomously thanks to its programmable event engine.

🔄 Automatic reports
The device sends its position and status to your tracking server automatically:
| Report type | Description |
|---|---|
| Periodic | Every X seconds/meters while moving |
| Event-based | When detecting a condition (ignition, alert, geofence) |
| On-demand | When requested via SMS or command |
🧠 Event engine
Rinho’s most powerful feature. Allows creating logic rules of the type:
IF [condition] THEN [action]Example: If vehicle exceeds 120 km/h → send alert + activate buzzer
🔌 Inputs and outputs
