Previous Knowledge
This documentation is oriented to technicians and integrators. To make the most of it, it’s useful to have familiarity with the following concepts.
💡
You can use the Guides to get started quickly and dive deeper later.
Serial Communication
🔌 COM Port
Identify and configure serial ports on your PC
⚙️ Parameters
Baudrate, data bits, parity, stop bits
🖥️ Software
Using terminals like PuTTY, Termite or Web Serial
Typical configuration: 115200 bps, 8N1
Networks and Communications
| Technology | What it’s used for |
|---|---|
| GSM | 2G cellular network (voice and SMS) |
| GPRS | Mobile data over 2G |
| LTE | 4G network (higher speed and coverage) |
| SMS | Text messages (remote config, alerts) |
| TCP/IP | Communication protocol with server |
| UDP | Alternative protocol (lighter) |
| APN | Cellular operator access point |
Number Systems
Commands and reports use different number bases:
Decimal
255
Base 10 (0-9)
Hexadecimal
FF
Base 16 (0-F)
Binary
11111111
Base 2 (0-1)
Digital Logic
Basic concepts to understand device rules:
| Operator | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| AND | Both conditions | Contact=ON AND Speed>0 |
| OR | At least one | Door open OR Panic |
| NOT | Negation | NOT in geofence |
| XOR | One or the other, not both | State change |
Basic Electronics
⚡ Voltage
Measured in Volts (V). The device operates between 8-38V typically.
🔌 Digital inputs
Detect ON/OFF states (ground or floating).
📊 Analog inputs
Measure variable voltage (0-30V typical).
🔴 Outputs
Activate relays to control external loads.
