CXSIM Command - SIM Selection Mode
Configures the SIM selection mode that the system will adopt. You can choose between automatic mode or manual mode.
What is it for?
| Use case | Description |
|---|---|
| 🔄 Automatic redundancy | Switch SIM if connection fails |
| 🌍 International roaming | Select SIM based on country |
| 📱 Multiple operators | Use best available coverage |
| 💰 Cost optimization | Choose most economical operator |
Description
Automatic Mode
Automatic mode will execute a SIM change after 3 connection retry attempts. That is, if the device is not able to download a report through the SIM0 connection, it will retry 3 times and then switch to SIM1.
With SIM1 selected, it will attempt to connect again. If it fails to do so after 3 retries, the device will restart the connection and select SIM0 again. The process repeats indefinitely.
This mode is recommended for system use with two SIMs from different providers within the same territory (local roaming).
Manual Mode
Manual mode is recommended for applications where SIM operator changes are required in country-change applications.
